PATTERSON, CA – August 20, 2025 – The City of Patterson is excited to launch the Downtown Façade Improvement Program, a new incentive program that aims to revitalize and enhance the appearance of downtown commercial properties. The program offers financial assistance to both commercial property and/or business owners who are ready to invest in the exterior of their buildings.
The Downtown Façade Improvement Program was designed to encourage the renovation and reuse of existing commercial buildings in the downtown area. Supporting local businesses will preserve the character of Patterson’s historic downtown and encourage continued economic development through the beautification and modernization efforts emphasized in the city’s Strategic Plan and Downtown Master Plan.
Application deadline is October 2, 2025. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply early and plan ahead, as funding is limited.
Who is Eligible:
Commercial property and business owners located within the designated downtown area.
Available Grants:
- Storefront Improvement Grant: Up to 50% matching funds, not to exceed $20,000
- Sign/Awning Grant: Up to 50% matching funds, not to exceed $2,000
Eligible Improvements Include:
- Exterior refinishing and repainting
- Wall and window repairs or modifications
- Door replacement
- Handicap accessibility upgrades
- Awnings, exterior lighting, and signage improvements
- And more!
Requirements:
- Buildings must be located within the downtown boundaries
- Completed applications must be submitted by Thursday, October 2, 2025
